About The Author:
Mr. Hutmacher, who was born on August 15, 1942 in Quincy, Illinois and raised in Quincy, was employed by Stanley Consultants in Muscatine, Iowa after he graduated from college. He holds Bachelor and Masters degrees in electrical engineering and industrial and management engineering, respectively. He spent his entire 41 year professional career at Stanleys and retired in June 2005. Throughout his career, he worked on many projects throughout the United States as well as projects in Saudi Arabia, Slovenia, and Uganda Africa.
Mr. Hutmacher has had a lifetime interest in natural history, hunting, and fishing. He started hunting with a firearm at the age of 12 and has hunted a wide variety of small game. Waterfowl hunting with Labrador Retrievers had been his primary interest throughout his life. He has hunted in Iowa and Illinois, the Great Lakes area near Cleveland, Ohio, the Mississippi Delta, and along Puget Sound. His international waterfowl hunting has taken him to Canada, Argentina, and Uruguay.
